In affiliate marketing, an advertiser refers to the entity that wants to sell a product or service. It could be the company that has created the product or a third-party marketing firm working with them. Whatever the case may be, the advertiser is the one who works with affiliates to get their goods sold.
Advertisers want to increase sales without directly marketing their products or services on their own. So, they turn to affiliates to create some interest and increase web traffic. When your affiliate marketing efforts pay off and you make a conversion, the advertiser will provide you with your commission.
Most affiliate programs work with several advertisers to provide affiliates with plenty of options to monetize their blog. Typically, advertiser information is provided alongside the details of the program.
