What is an Affiliate Link

An affiliate link is a unique link provided to you by the advertiser or affiliate network. This link can then be used within your blog content to direct users to the merchant’s website. It serves a couple of different purposes.

For your website visitors, the link is what directs them to make a purchase. You can integrate the link into your content organically so that it’s easy for your visitors to use. It can be embedded in a text hyperlink, banner, or image.

For you, the affiliate, the link also works to give you credit for sales. The link is unique to your specific affiliate account. It has a tracking code embedded within it. This shows that the customer made the purchase from your website, allowing you to earn your commission.

Jamie Spencer

My name is Jamie Spencer and I have spent the past 10 years building money making blogs. After growing tired of the 9-5, commuting and never seeing my family I decided that I wanted to make some changes and launched my first blog. Since then I have launched lots of successful niche blogs and after selling my survivalist blog I decided to teach other people how to do the same.
