Do you want to create an online presence for your business or for yourself, but have not been able to do so due to a lack of time, programming skills or a big budget?
Are you worried about advanced features, such as a blog platform or support for multiple languages?
In either case, you will be happy to know that there are plenty of website builder tools available on the market that can fulfil such requirements for you.
However, many website builders do not offer a user-friendly interface which may make things difficult for you, especially during the initial stages.
So, if “ease of use” is one of your major concerns, then a website building platform like Voog could be the right one for you!
The Voog site builder is known for its simplicity and you will be able to create a decent website without much effort and at an affordable price.
From a long-term perspective, does Voog offer any specific features that could prove beneficial to your business?
Well, we will give you an answer to this query during the course of this article, as we review the Voog site builder.
The aim of this review is to look at Voog’s features, its pros and cons, its plans and pricing and so on to understand if this site building software can meet your site development requirements.
We have tried out the Voog drag-and-drop site builder to design a couple of websites and the below review is also based on our first-hand experience.
Voog Company Background
The company that started out with this website builder was founded by Priit Haamer, Tõnu Runnel, Märt Kelder and Toivo Annus. Their office is situated in Tartu, Estonia.
Their site building service was known as Edicy, which was changed to Voog last year. From the start, the site builder has focused on providing a very user-friendly experience to its users.
Let us now take an in-depth look at the various features offered by the Voog site building tool.
Customer Support for Voog
Even though you are highly unlikely to face any issues with this relatively easy site builder, you do get solid customer support from the Voog team.
You can check out their “Find Answers” section to get help with some of the most frequently asked queries along with their solutions.
You also get access to their comprehensive knowledgebase guides which are based on several topics, such as account setup, SEO, website design, languages and content areas.
If you do not find any resolution for your issue related to the Voog site builder from these resources, you can post a query from the site editor itself.
You can also use the Voog contact form to get in touch with their customer support team, who generally respond within a few hours with a detailed solution.
This type of support is available round the clock. You may even directly email your concerns to firstname.lastname@example.org or pick up the phone to speak to a customer support professional on +372 746 0064 (08:00 to 16:00 Berlin time).
Additionally, you may get in touch with the Voog team on their Facebook page here.
For any updates related to the Voog tool or useful tips and tricks, you can even refer the Voog blog section.
For a small-scale site builder, Voog offers a variety of options as far as customer support is concerned.
This goes to prove that they are really serious about keeping their customers satisfied. Considering our experience of using their customer support, we can conclude that they are indeed quite good at it.
Voog Website Templates or Themes
You get access to a small range of carefully-designed templates that are likely to satisfy most of your needs.
Despite the number of templates (around 10) available to you for selection being pretty low, they are all high-quality layout options with good responsive features.
You are bound to be pleased with the look and feel of the templates, even though you would surely want Voog to increase the template options in the future.
You will not be able to modify the default templates without digging deep into the code and making use of any programming skills that you may possess.
If you do not like coding, then you simply have to use the templates as they are, without any customisation.
Voog Website Editor Interface
Once you select the theme of your choice and sign up to your Voog account, the layout will already be loaded with a few dummy pages which contain some text boxes, images and more.
However, you will not find any dummy text, which you would find with many other site builders. Instead, you will come across empty spaces with directions for you to drag your choice of text or similar items to that space.
The Voog editor consists of a simple horizontal toolbar at the bottom of your screen. This editor interface is sparse, as it is not overloaded with lots of elements that may confuse you.
You mostly have to play around with two tabs (Content and Files) on the horizontal bar that contains most of the basic elements that you would probably need to design your site’s pages.
For example, you can drag any element, such as text, forms, galleries, movies or maps, from the Content tab and place them on the page.
Once the elements are placed on the page, you can edit the place of the content. If you wish to add images to your page, you can do so from the Files tab.
However, if you wish to add an image gallery, then you need to first get the gallery from the Content tab, followed by images from the Files tab.
There may not be any direct help available to help you understand this, but the interface is so sparse that you will eventually learn how to handle the drag-and-drop site design process.
You can even add more pages by using the “Add” option from the navigation bar at the top. You will get three types of pages to select from: common page (which is blank), homepage or blog.
You can then add elements to the pages or reorganise them as per your requirements.
The WYSIWYG text editor is very easy to use. Similarly, you will enjoy working with the form builder that provides you with plenty of input options to build registration forms or contact forms.
In this age of competition, you will feel the need to reach out to a different set of audience via a blog platform.
So, even if you are an eCommerce business, it is better to have a small blog section on your site. You will be glad to know that Voog offers you an integrated blog platform that you can easily use to post updates, announcements, event details and more for your business.
As mentioned earlier, you can add a blog type page, which allows you to write new posts and arrange them in the order of your choice.
You can easily add images and even videos to your blog posts. Also, this tool provides the “Comments” section by default for each blog post.
This allows you to maintain a good rapport with your blog readers. It is important to note that a limited number of website builders offer such an integrated blogging platform.
Support for Multilingual Sites
One of the most important features of the Voog tool is its support for multiple languages.
In fact, it is one of the top multilingual site builders available on the market. The reason for this is that it involves a very simple process to get your website translated into multiple languages.
When you compare this to the complex process involved to get your site in multiple languages with other popular site builders, for example, Wix, GoDaddy and Jimdo, you will appreciate the simplicity of Voog.
Your Voog website will have a flag on the upper right-hand corner that can be used by your site visitors to change the site to their language preference.
There is no automatic translation of your website into different languages, as it increases the chances of errors on your site. Instead, Voog makes you rebuild a new version of your site for each new language.
Even though you have to rebuild all the pages for the different languages, it is fairly simple compared to other site builders which may include complex navigation with the subpages.
