What is CTR? (Click Through Rate)

The Click-Through Rate, also referred to as CTR, is a figure that represents how many people clicked on a link versus just reading the affiliate website’s content. When affiliates craft content to promote a certain product or service, they will include links that take readers to the company’s website. Each one of those clicks are conversions that can be recorded. The CTR can also be used on banner ads and other forms of advertising.

To put it simply, a CTR compares the successful conversions to the overall impressions. Figuring out a website’s CTR is very simple. All you have to do is some simple division. Just divide the number of page views by the number of clicks. A higher CTR percentage typically shows that the affiliate’s marketing efforts are paying off.

Jamie Spencer

My name is Jamie Spencer and I have spent the past 10 years building money making blogs. After growing tired of the 9-5, commuting and never seeing my family I decided that I wanted to make some changes and launched my first blog. Since then I have launched lots of successful niche blogs and after selling my survivalist blog I decided to teach other people how to do the same.
