How Much Do Wix Pricing Plans Cost?

As you’ll see in the Wix pricing tables below, there are seven different Wix pricing options available to choose from. While Wix offers a free plan, which every website builder seems to offer these days, the premium website plans offer much more functionality and range from $16 to $45 per month when billed annually.

Wix Pricing – What Does Each Plan Include?

Wix pricing plans begin with the Combo plan at $16 per month for an annual plan. Although it isn’t a free plan, this entry-level premium plan is affordable for everyone, doesn’t involve displaying Wix ads, and provides a free domain for one year. At the other end of the spectrum, the VIP plan costs $45 per month and comes with a heap of add-ons as well as priority support. These plans can be purchased at a cheaper rate when paid up front for multiple years at a time.

Wix Pricing Table

Here’s a quick breakdown of Wix’s non-ecommerce website plans. Although none of these plans allow you to build and manage an online store, they offer a range of features to make your Wix site as basic or stylish and functional as you want.

Read Our WIX.com Review

As you can see, Wix pricing is quite varied, and so are its plans. While all of the plans grant you access to premium quality templates on par with some of the best Wordpress templates around, some Wix.com plans offer more storage, bandwidth, and features than others.

You’ll learn more about the differences between each premium plan in a minute, but before you do, it’s worth pointing out the savings of paying up front with an annual plan. These savings can be expanded further by signing up for the biennial or triennial plans.

Similar to other website builder plans, Wix offers many different payment plans based on different lengths of contract. If you go with the annual plan, you can save a whopping 36 percent over the cost of the monthly plan. That’s a pretty big chunk of change. If you sign up for the triennial plan, paying for three years in advance, that saving extends to over 50%. It might be a chunk of cash to invest up front, but if it suits you, the saving speaks for itself.

Needless to say, the longer plans offer much better value. So, if you’re able to pay now and save later, we definitely recommend it.

Plus, since Wix offers a free plan, there’s no need to jump into premium plan. You can try out Wix completely free to see if it’s for you, then you can upgrade to the best paid plan for your budget and site goals.

Wix Combo Plan

At $16 a month (annual plan), the Combo plan is much more versatile and offers more features than the free Connect Domain plan. Like other paid website plans, it also removes Wix ads and provides a free custom domain for one year. This first part is key, especially if you’re creating a website for a small business as Wix ads being plastered everywhere is anything but professional.

With the Combo, you also get 2 GB of storage, 2 GB in bandwidth, and the ability to embed up to 30 minutes of high-definition video.

To recap, this plan is great for small websites and has enough features to fulfill most basic needs, including:

• 2 GB storage
• 2 GB bandwidth
• Free domain
• Up to 30 minutes of video
• No Wix branding or ads

Ideal User – This plan is best for personal websites and is a logical next step for anyone upgrading from the free plan.

Wix Unlimited Plan

For a few dollars more each month, Wix’s Unlimited premium plan is a smart choice for most small businesses and online entrepreneurs. With 5 GB of storage, unlimited bandwidth, no Wix ads, access to premium apps, and a free custom domain, it’s certainly worth the extra $6 over the Combo plan.

With this Wix plan, you gain access to the Site Booster app, which will provide your site with an SEO boost and improve its chances of ranking in Google. The plan also unlocks additional premium apps and allows you to provide more video content.

All in all, it removes many of the limitations of the free Connect Domain and Combo plans and allows you to create a more interactive, user-friendly site with added bandwidth, storage, and SEO power.

Ideal User – The Unlimited plan is ideal for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses who don’t need an ecommerce plan and the ability to process credit card transactions. It’s perfect if you want to interact more with visitors and give your site plenty of room for future growth.

Wix Pro Plan

The Wix Pro plan is a big step up from the Unlimited plan in terms of capacity, without a hefty rise in price. When billed annually, the Wix Pro plan will set you back $27 per month. For that, you get a hike in storage, up to 50GB, and twice the video upload capacity (2 hours) of the Unlimited plan.

This plan comes with all the features of the previous two tiers, but with some added extras. At this level of package you get the events calendar app for the first year, and access to the premium site logo creator.

Ideal User – This plan is best suited to those that need the extra storage space and that need a logo for their site. If you don’t need the extra storage, it’s not worth the upgrade for the logo alone. You could create one elsewhere without the same level of extra cost to yourself. But if you do need the extra storage, or space to scale, then it’s certainly worth considering.

Wix VIP Plan

As the best non-ecommerce Wix pricing plan, the VIP plan is also one of the priciest. It comes with all of the same features as the less expensive Wix pricing plans but features some nice bonuses only available to VIP Wix website customers.

One of these bonuses is lightning-fast priority response and better overall customer support. In other words, you get the VIP treatment, so all of your questions get immediately placed at the front of the line. You can even take advantage of exclusive VIP phone support for a little extra handholding should you need it.

That said, one of the biggest draws of becoming a VIP customer is gaining access to Wix’s Ascend marketing tool – one of Wix’s most valuable add-ons. Want to set up live chat on your site? Ascend can help. Want to dominate social media or SEO? Guess what, Ascend can help with that too!

It really is a cool tool, and with everything else you get with the VIP plan, it’s an excellent option for just about anyone.

Ideal User – The VIP plan is great for a bigger website or any growing small business who can afford a higher price for a greater level of support. It won’t allow you to create an online store, but with advanced marketing tools and one-on-one help, this plan is definitely one of Wix’s best.

It is however a hefty step up in price from the Pro plan, so make sure you fully understand your needs, and compare with others out there on the market as offers do change from time to time.

Wix Pricing For Ecommerce

Despite the variety of Wix pricing and plan options above, if you’re looking to create and launch an online store or need access to one of Wix’s powerful business apps, such as Wix Hotels or Wix Bookings, then you should definitely consider one of Wix’s premium business and ecommerce plans.

Wix Pricing Table – Ecommerce

If you want to start selling products online, chances are there is a Wix ecommerce plan for you. With each of these Wix pricing ecommerce plans, you’ll be able to create a stylishly modern ecommerce store, sell and ship products, accept payments, market to customers, and more. Let’s have a quick look at each and what they offer.

At first glance, each of these Wix ecommerce plan options offer many of the same features and functionality. While this is true in many ways, there are definitely differences between them, especially in terms of storage and support.

If you want to get into the exploding ecommerce space, here’s a closer look at what each plan offers. If you don’t know how to code and want to skip the Wordpress learning curve, one of them will likely be a perfect fit.

Business Basic Plan

Before we dive into each plan, it’s worth pointing out that each of these plans provide you with a free domain name of your choice and SSL encryption. Plus, unlike the free Wix, each ecommerce plan is ad-free, so you can keep your site looking as professional as possible.

Okay, with that out of the way, let’s move on.

At $27 per month (paid annually), the Business Basic Plan is the least expensive Wix pricing option if you want to create a custom Wix site with ecommerce functionality. While it may be tempting to jump up to a higher plan, you may not need to as this plan is the best option for most standard online stores.

From creating coupons and accepting online payments to Google Analytics and you name it – this plan just about lets you do it all. You can even access the Wix Bookings app to schedule bookings, create email reminders, and much more.

Of course, it and the other apps are add-ons, but what about the meat and potatoes of the plan itself?

With this plan, Wix offers the ability to create unlimited listings and sell as many products as you want. This alone is impressive for the plan’s price point, but it also offers unlimited bandwidth, 50 GB of storage, SSL encryption, access to premium apps, $600 in ad credits, and zero transaction fees.

Needless to say, it’s perfect for starting out on and offers more than enough to help your store grow into a full-time business.

Ideal User – Anyone who wants to start a small online store or accept payments through their website.

Business Unlimited Plan

The Business Unlimited plan is one of today’s most popular Wix pricing options. More and more people are making a full-time income with part-time work by selling products online. When set up properly, your site can do almost all of the work for you, and this plan gives you everything you need to create an ecommerce website that does exactly that.

At $32 per month (paid annually), the Business Unlimited plan includes all of the same features as the Business Basic plan, but it provides some very nice extras.

One of these extras is 10 hours of video instead of five. That’s right; with this plan, you can upload five more hours of video content.

However, the plan’s real strong point is its storage and email campaigns. With 100 GB of storage, you can have dynamic content and sell as many products as you want. Plus, you’ll have the tools to promote your online business and help it grow.

That being said, if you’re just starting out and don’t already have a store up and running online, you’re probably better off starting with the Business Basic plan and working up to this plan in order to get the best value. After all, there’s no need to pay for storage and features you don’t really need – yet.

Ideal User – The Business Unlimited plan is ideal for growing ecommerce businesses. With every feature of the Business Basic plan but with more storage and other valuable extras, it’s perfect for boosting the size, performance, and reach of your online store.

Business VIP Plan

At $59 per month, the Business VIP plan is the most expensive Wix pricing option. With premium support and priority response, it’s similar to the regular VIP plan. There’s no need to wait hours or even minutes for answers to your questions. Whenever you reach out for help, you’ll be placed right in the front of the line.

It also features everything included in the other business plans, including unlimited bandwidth, email campaigns, and access to Google Analytics and premium apps. These features are nice, but the selling point of this plan is its unlimited storage space. If you need space, this plan has it.

Ideal User – The Business VIP plan offers more features and storage than any other Wix premium plan, making it ideal for large online stores with lots of files and a healthy budget.

Any other Wix ecommerce plans?

Yes, Wix also offers specific ecommerce plans to existing Wix customers who already own online stores. As you know, the Business Basic ecommerce plan is the best for starting an online store, but despite offering unlimited bandwidth, the plan’s storage only goes up to 50 GB.

The Business Unlimited plan ups the storage to 100 GB, and the VIP plan offers unlimited storage. However, if you need more bang for your buck, and a platform that can scale tailored specifically to your large, growing business, Wix also offer customized Enterprise plans.

These solutions come with all the benefits of the tiers below them, but with support from Wix for every element of your site, from SEO and coding, to mapping and auditing. Enterprise solutions start around the $500+ level, but are complete packages with your large business at the core.

Of course, this plan also gives you access to Wix’s Business Solutions apps. Unlike payment processors, automatic tax and shipping calculations, and the usual ecommerce solutions, Wix Business Solutions apps are industry specific and a huge help for hotels, restaurants, and similar small businesses who need to take online bookings.

Wix Pricing FAQs

Is hosting included with all Wix plans?

Yes, every Wix plan includes hosting at no extra cost. For most, this is a big plus.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, all Wix plans offer a free domain name, which you can easily connect to your site or ecommerce store. If you already have an existing domain, you can keep it and connect it to your Wix site as well if you choose.

Does Wix offer email accounts?

Yes, Wix offers email accounts….sort of. You can sign up for an email account through G Suite for an extra $6 a month. Compared to some competitors like Jimdo, which offers email accounts for only $12 a year, Wix email pricing is a little steep.

Are there any Wix coupons or promo codes?

No, there isn’t currently any promo codes available for you to use on Wix Unlimited and VIP plans.

Can I cancel Wix if I decide to use a different platform?

Yes, while you save more with Wix by signing up for a yearly plan and paying up front, you can cancel your Wix account at any time if you want.

In fact, cancelling a Wix premium plan can easily be done from within your account under Billing & Payment. Just click the “Cancel payments” link next to “Next payment.” That’s all there is to it.

Does Wix offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes, Wix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for all of its paid premium plans. So, you can try the platform out for 14 days and cancel to receive a “no questions asked” refund if you decide for any reason that Wix isn’t right for you.

Please note, domain names cannot be refunded as they are automatically good for one year after purchase. However, nearly all Wix plans come with a free domain, so this isn’t an issue for most.

Wix Pricing – Is It Good Value For Money?

The short answer is YES. Wix can be a great value, if you choose the right plan for you. Most non-ecommerce Wix users are best off going with the Combo plan as it offers a free domain and is completely ad-free. Unless you plan on receiving hundreds of visitors to your website right from the start, this is probably the best plan for you. You can always upgrade if you need to.

If you want to open an online store, then we recommend the Business Basic plan as it’s the least expensive and comes with just about all of Wix’s ecommerce features. Once again, you can upgrade if you need to, but this plan is the best value and ideal for most.

Lastly, we also like the fact that Wix offers a monthly payment option for all of its plans. Most website builders only offer yearly subscriptions, having the option to pay monthly rather than all up front is refreshing to say the least!

Accepted Forms of Payment

Wix accepts a few different forms of payment. Credit and debit cards from most major carriers are accepted. They’ll take Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. You can also make digital payments via PayPal. If you prefer to pay with a check or money order, you can do that as well. You can find the mailing address for payments on Wix.com. The hosting company also lets you get a full refund if you don’t like the service thanks to their 30-day money-back guarantee on most plans.

Conclusion

As you can see Wix pricing is not as simple as it may first appear. The web hosting company gives you the opportunity to pay for the services you need. They offer many different types of plans, ensuring that their service is accessible to small businesses and big corporations alike.

Pricing does vary by region too, and so does the level of service provided for each tier. For example, while in the USA you receive 100 GB of storage on the VIP plan, in the UK for example, the storage is only 35 GB on the same tier. So make sure you know exactly what is on offer for your own specific region before committing.
